Friends of Cromarty Harbour  

The Friends of Cromarty Harbour charity has been established to support the Cromarty Harbour Trust and its associated Harbour Working Group of volunteers in their efforts to restore, maintain and re-invigorate the grade A listed harbour. This effort will be achieved by undertaking activities such as fundraising initiatives to support the Trust in its programme of repairs, restoration and maintenance, including organising harbour related events aimed at promoting its facilities and to engage the local community.

The charity will also work to increase public awareness of the harbour and its significant place in Highland and maritime history. Whilst the charity will not be involved in commercial operation of the harbour, it will endeavour to assist, where appropriate and in a voluntary capacity, in the implementation of repair and restoration activities under the direction of the Cromarty Harbour Working Group to preserve the harbour for the enjoyment of all generations, for today and in the future.
